‘Desert Knights’ hold change of command at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait

First Team Strong Bonds retreat takes holistic approach to help Army families

July 1, 2021 — One way that the Army strengthens its Soldiers and families is by providing training that enhances mental and spiritual readiness. The 1st Theater Sustainment Command’s Unit Ministry Team led from the front and hosted a three-in-one Strong Bonds retreat at the Omni Hotel in Indianapolis June 18-20. Curtain falls on ASG-Qatar after three decades supporting readiness, resilience

1st TSC CG coins young riggers on Qatar visit

June 16, 2021 — The commanding general of 1st Theater Sustainment Command coined two riggers deployed here with the Fort Bragg, North Carolina-based 151st Quartermaster Detachment, during his June 10, 2021 visit at the Eric T. Burri U.S. Army Rigging Facility. MORE
The Commanding General of the 1st Theater Sustainment Command, Maj. Gen. John P. Sullivan, stands with Sgt. 1st Class Michelle Metzger, the senior enlisted advisor for the Fort Bragg, N.C., based 151th Quartermaster Detachment, moments before the general presented his command coin to riggers, Spc. Paulo Paulo and Sgt. Joshua Parkinson, during his June 10, 2021 visit. Metzger recommended the riggers for their hard work and dedication during the deployment.

1st Theater Sustainment Command major promotes resiliency while deployed

June 16, 2021 — Army Reserve Maj. Anthony Simms-Hall, theater mortuary officer for the 1st Theater Sustainment Command’s Operational Command Post, dedicates much of his free time to assisting Soldiers with resiliency efforts, by sharing his personal passions and hobbies with deployed Soldiers. MORE
Maj. Anthony Sims-Hall, 1st Theater Sustainment Command, theater mortuary affairs officer, plans resiliency events for Soldiers while they are deployed. Sims-Hall takes his passion for fitness and creativity and tailors it to the needs of Soldiers. “My excitement comes from seeing others increase their morale spirit and know they have an option to do something that’s different, says Sims-Hall.

Kurz, chief of staff, 1st Theater Sustainment Command, spoke to Soldiers about the recently refurbished M35A2 truck now displayed outside of the 1st TSC’s Fowler Hall headquarters building in Fort Knox, Kentucky. Kurz said, “I think it is particularly fitting that we commemorate this piece of history, not only on the U.S. Army’s 246th birthday, but during Army Heritage Month.” MORE

1st TSC CG joins ASG-Qatar colors casing ceremony

June 14, 2021 — The commanding general of the 1st Theater Sustainment Command joined Area Support Group-Qatar's end-of-mission ceremony and casing of the group's colors by its last command team, June 10. MORE

Orientation designed to enhance, develop 1st TSC Soldiers

June 11, 2021 — Since the 1st Theater Sustainment Command headquarters is now staffed at 100 percent, a noncommissioned officers orientation has been introduced to provide an overview of what each unit or section does, both here and when deployed to the U.S. Army Central Command area of operations. The orientation is provided by each unit’s senior noncommissioned officer. MORE
