American Legion Riders bond with First Team Soldiers

June 11, 2021 — They volunteered, served, deployed, and retired. They are veterans, patriots, Legionnaires, and Riders. The patriotism and courage that pushed some veterans to serve in the military is what continues to drive them to serve in other capacities. RSC leaders discuss in-theater home run accomplishment on power generator sustainability

June 7, 2021 — Civilian technicians at the Regional Support Center recently scored a sustainment home run by rapidly establishing in-theater power generator rebuild and exchange programs here. MORE
The Communications-Electronics Command Regional Support Center’s civilian team at the 401st Army Field Support Brigade gathers in front of various generators, a Trojan AN/TSQ-226B(V) Communications system, and a AN/TPQ-53 Radar at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, May 20. 1st TSC NCO deploys to support Afghanistan exit ops after receiving 2nd COVID-19 shot

June 7, 2021 — An Army Reserve noncommissioned officer deployed to support 1st Theater Sustainment Command's operational command post received her second Moderna COVID-19 vaccine shot June 2, making her better qualified to deploy to Afghanistan in support of Army exit operations. MORE

Kuwait MWR holds first in-person tournaments following a year of COVID restrictions

June 3, 2021 — Programs and events at Camp Arifjan are beginning to return to normalcy as more personnel on base receive the COVID vaccine. The Morale, Welfare and Recreation Community Center hosted a chess tournament and darts tournament for service members and civilians at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, on May 23, 2021, and May 26, 2021, respectively. 'Desert Medics' begin Operation Eagle's Landing, open clinics at Joint Training Center-Jordan

June 3, 2021 — The optometry clinic team with the 3rd Medical Command’s expeditionary command post, provides important medical care to Soldiers at Joint Training Center, Jordan. The 3rd Medical Command (Deployment Support), “Desert Medics,” set up an ECP at the JTC in Jordan on May 25th, 2021. MORE

May 27, 2021 — For the second year in a row, a 1st Theater Sustainment Command volunteer was named U. S. Army Central’s Volunteer of the Year in a ceremony held in Fort Knox, Kentucky, May 26. Lt. Gen. Terry R. Ferrell, commanding general, U. S. Army Central, announced Mrs. Kristen Small as the 2020 ARCENT Volunteer of the Year Award remotely via videoconference from his headquarters at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina. MORE

Defense Logistics Agency Civilian Gee Hyun McNease, deployed as the deputy commander of the DLA Support Team-Kuwait at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, is a native of the Republic of Korea. McNease said her first consciousness of America was from her parents, who were grateful to American Soldiers who liberated her country from the Communists.
